Taylor is found shot dead in his home. In the ensuing investigation two
actresses, Mary Miles Minter and Mabel Normand are briefly suspected,
but neither is arrested. Both their careers are ruined. 1929: John Gilbert finally gives up on Greta Garbo. In April he proposed to her for the third time(she refused); in May he married Ina Claire. |
